Shirley Chernitsky, de vocación artística tempranamente definida, hoy se realiza en su obra. Hay en su plástica sentimiento musical y ritmo dinámico de danza; los cuadros y tapices son síntesis sensuales que integran estas artes a la pintura. Creadora de esencias femeninas, su arte es testimonio del misterio de la fecundidad: medios acuosos en que genera desde formas primitivas de vida, esporas y líquenes, hasta flores y frutos eróticos que revelan el placer y el tormento del placer, razón de su ser.
En el colorido está principalmente el sentimiento musical del que han hablado Debussy, Stravinsky y Mahler; sus cuadros tienen fundamentalmente azules de todas las gamas: los amarillos, verdes y negros son referencias que acentúan el valor poético AZUL. La paleta de Shirley tiene el misterio y la originalidad de ser una transposición de los colores iridiscentes del pastel a las diversas técnicas que usa la artista: acuarela, gouache, tinta y sus combinaciones.

Shirley Chernitsky, whose artistic vocation was defined at an early age, has today found fulfillment in her work. Her art embodies a musical sentiment and dynamic dance rhythm; paintings and wall hangings become sensual compositions that fuse such emotions into the paint. Creator of feminine essences, her art bears witness to the mystery of fecundity: watery environments in which she generates primitive forms of life, spores and lichens, as well as erotic fruits and flowers that reveal pleasure and pleasurable torment, their reason for existence.
The color exudes primarily the musical sentiment that Debussy, Stravinsky and Mahler have all expressed. Her pictures are basically filled with blues of all shades. The yellows, greens and blacks are references accentuating the poetic value of BLUE. Shirley’s pallet oozes the mystery and originality of being a transposition of iridescent pastels to the different techniques the artist uses: water color, gouache, ink and their combinations.
